About the Royston Herts Aviation Group

Formed in October 2001 in Royston, Hertfordshire by Alan "Addo" Addison and long term friend Tony "TP" Patten of Walthamstow, London.

It was initially confined to a small number of friends; RHAG soon expanded to twelve members and today still only has thirty one carefully selected and vetted members.

Although formed in Royston, Hertfordshire it now has a North East Detachment (NE Det.) comprising of four Members and we recently added four new Members in the Manchester area. Late in 2006 we expanded in East Anglia with an East Anglian Det. formed principally from Members of the East Anglian Aviation Enthusiast Society (EAAES) headed by Dean Charnley.

RHAG cooperates on joint visits with the Wolverhampton Aviation Group (WAG) headed by Mick Boulanger. Where RHAG cannot fill a tour to maximum permitted capacity those places are offered to WAG Members. WAG reciprocates when and where at all possible.

RHAG caters for all aspects of the aviation enthusiast; from the micro-light to the might of the military. Members often undertake visits on their own or as  a small Group to air shows and airfields in pursuance of the hobby. Regular reports are received and posted by Members for the benefit of us all.

Details of visits will soon be available on the Visits page.

Membership to RHAG is currently closed. Thank you for your interest in RHAG.
